Portfolio of Sample Magazine and Newsletter Projects
Over the years, I have handled a wide variety of projects, more than can be perused quickly or easily. As a result, the examples provided here are representative rather than exhaustive. I would be happy to answer any questions or inquiries about particular types of projects, even if there is no direct equivalent among the selections on display. As well, professional references are available on request.
I got my start in slick monthly magazines and have spent a good many years working on both consumer and special-interest publications in addition to the examples shown below. Even today magazines and newsletters remain a favorite project type.
Basic magazine and article design were defined by the client, but within those limits there was significant flexibility in lay-out. Copyfitting sometimes was challenging, especially when assembling the Spanish-language edition that followed the English original.

Magazine Advertisements
The first advertisement appeared in a book-distributor magazine, while the other two examples are dummy advertisements were created specifically as showcase pieces.
